The following list of synopses comprise what would have been a second series within the chronological Eagles Timeline.  At seven volumes, it would have been nearly as ambitious as the ten book Legacy of the Eagles series that was to precede it.  Perhaps eventually these stories will be written and added to the still growing Eagles Timeline.

VOLUME ONE: Jade's Retribution

The Kreeos War had finally ended after former shadow lords Keidon and Jager led forces of the Spherrium on a daring attack of Triaxa.  Although Dr. Jade escaped, the Triad Imperium was broken.  Triaxa then suffered through two hundred years of occupation by the Spherrium’s Avatar Order to ensure that its shadow magic power had been fully defeated.  All the while, Dr. Jade had attempted unsuccessfully to regain power with his hatred of the Eagles growing more profound decade after decade.

Now, as the galaxy has recovered and is prospering, Luther von Jade returns to launch a devastating conflict against the Great Spiral Galaxy that seems unstoppable.  Every major civilization experiences the power of Jade’s Tark-built automated troops and warships as the Eternal Empire marches across space.  Jager and Keidon, living in seclusion for centuries, are asked to lead another daring attack.  Their forces, composed of distrustful Spherrium veteran troops and wary Avatar agents, must cooperate to infiltrate Jade’s stronghold and attempt to defeat the foreverman face to face.  This will pit Keidon and Jager against the very shadow magic they had vowed to never use again.

VOLUME TWO: Shadows of Eternity

Several years ago, the Eternal Empire had been stopped, bringing the brief but devastating Jade War to a close.  The Spherrium and the rest of the galaxy are slow to recover.  The immortal Dr. Jade, however, makes a quick comeback and initiates a daring plan to bring about the downfall of galactic civilization.  For several years, Jade's evil Kreeos power and his sinister agents cause interstellar havoc.  The civil wars, ethnic conflicts, and political and economic intrigues of this “Great Galactic Upheaval” produce the desired results.  Jade’s crowning achievements are the collapse of the Spherrium and the resulting dissolution of the Eagle tribes.

This is not all the maniacal foreverman has in store for the galaxy.  Dr. Jade uses an ancient alien machine to free the few remaining ‘Dark Lords’ – masters of the galaxy tens of thousands of years ago – from their self-imposed imprisonment on the artificial planet Eternity.  The shadow magic powerful Dark Lords seek to reclaim their ancient dominions and more.  With no one powerful enough to successfully oppose the New Sorcerer Empire, the Dark Lords begin their campaign to conquer the universe.

VOLUME THREE: Old Millennium Travelers

The New Sorcerer Empire has ruled the Great Spiral for millennia and has spread to other galaxies.  The sinister power of shadow magic ‘enforcers’ has driven numerous Kreeos adepts into hiding.  The immortal forevermen must constantly move and hide to escape the mechanical minions of the Dark Lords.  Such an immortal is B-Man, a star raider who dreams of killing Lord Jager to avenge his father’s murder and the betrayal of Triaxa.  But Jager is now too powerful, ruling the galaxy as Dark Lord Setha's apprentice after usurping Dr. Jade's favor with the NSE.

B-Man teams up with his old friends Kayless, former Emperor of Krystal, and ex-Galactic Marshal Timothy Jackson.  Together, they vow to stand up to Jager and his evil masters.  The three set off on a quest to locate the legendary world of Trabenta where the Old Millennium Travelers, the onetime mortal enemies of the Dark Lords, were last known to have lived.  On this long-forgotten planet, the star raider trio hopes to discover a way to contact these mysterious extra-galactic entities and convince them to help stop the New Sorcerer Empire.  For only other Kreeos superior beings such as the Celestials can defeat the Dark Lords and destroy them once and for all.

VOLUME FOUR: Chance of Renewal

The Dark Lords are extinct.  Their empire has been destroyed.  The great cosmic battle between bright and shadow magic caused the total destruction of the artificial world Eternity.  The resulting release of uncontrolled energy from the planet’s Dark Core annihilated the New Sorcerer Empire and devastated the galaxy.  The scarred remnants of galactic civilization have crumbled as many worlds struggle to survive.  The millennia-long dark ages continue to shroud the Great Spiral Galaxy.

The foreverman star raider B-Man, shielded from the Dark Core’s effects, returned to Triaxa intent upon rebuilding his ravaged home world.  His people are divided into clans – one ruled by Dr. Luther von Jade himself – which are constantly fighting one another for control of the system.  After several frustrating centuries, B-Man is ready to give up on a unified Triaxa until the discovery of an evil, covert scheme between the Jade Clan and the shadow magic obsessed Prophets Clan.  Now, B-Man must somehow unite the other warring tribes in time to stop Jade from exacting his revenge upon the Eagles and their newly reborn Spherrium.  At stake is not only humanity’s survival but the fate of the Great Spiral Galaxy and its fragile renewal of civilization.

VOLUME FIVE: Future of the Eagles

Five hundred years after the fall of the New Sorcerer Empire, the Spherrium has been slowly spreading across the galaxy.  It has impeded such imperial powers as Hast'Bren, New Heathrion and Zikar, and accepted former enemies such as the Triaxans, Tannithians, and Mackmarion as members.  Galactic civilization has been renewed and is growing stronger by the year.  However, such growth and prosperity has given birth to widespread complacency.

For centuries, Dr. Luther von Jade had been drifting through the void between galaxies imprisoned in a sensory deprivation capsule – no sight, sound, touch, or Kreeos.  The evil foreverman is all but forgotten until he suddenly returns with a massive host of Sorcerer-built weapons of war.  The Spherrium reels from the onslaught of the fanatical Kreeos lord.  Jade is bent upon finally destroying the Eagles and completing the evil vision of the vanquished Dark Lords.  As the Great Spiral Galaxy teeters on the brink of permanent anarchy, B-Man, Kayless, and Timothy Jackson must join forces once again to stop their nemesis once and for all.

VOLUME SIX: Visions of Forever

The galaxy slowly recovers from the maniacal Dr. Jade's vengeful wrath.  Even though the immortals Kayless, B-Man, and Timothy Jackson are considered heroes for finally slaying the evil shadow lord, a backlash is gathering momentum against their kind. Thousands of species are beginning to blame forevermen for most of the conflict and suffering down through history.  As the Kreeos once stood accused, immortality is now condemned as evil – a malignant influence that must be stopped.

The Spherrium is looked upon to pronounce judgment as to the future of forevermen.  People across the galaxy criticize the Eagles for producing the most immortals of any race, and Humanity must atone for this perceived wrong.  The Spherrium, facing potential war with both the galaxy and its own member worlds, makes a fateful decision: all forevermen must be hunted down and incarcerated to preserve civilization's precarious recovery.

VOLUME SEVEN: Infinite Direction

The Spherrium had helped launch “The Great Suppression” – the attempted capture and imprisonment of all immortal beings in the galaxy.  Galactic civilization did not fully understand the vital role forevermen played in history or how strongly they would fight to keep their freedom.  The conflict raged for decades before the galaxy finally realized that all sides were going to be the losers.  The decimation threatened to bring about a new Great Galactic Upheaval.

Facing the prospect of destroying itself again, the Spherrium reluctantly conceded that only forevermen might be able to save it.  The Great Suppression was halted and immortals from the primary member worlds were invited to create a governing “Council of Infinites”.  These twelve forevermen – Master Kayless of Krystal among them – are set to lead the Spherrium to a new golden age, a level of prosperity never achieved.  With the signing of the Final Unification Accord between the last major interstellar powers, the Spherrium stands ready to guide the galaxy into the future.

The first of these next two concepts was to be a standalone story based upon the planet Zia during a time before the arrival of a splinter group from the "Eagle Refugee Fleet" (from: Legacy of the Eagles).  I was never sure whether I was going to write it as a short story or a full-length novel.

Also intended to be a standalone story - one important to Eagles history - the second concept was to tell of the arrival of the "lost" Far Horizon tribe of Eagles to their new home and the reaction of the people who already live there.

THE WESTLAND CONSPIRACY

Gend Raspha was, in his own words, "a simple maesot rancher" – one of hundreds in the Great Valley of Serenity on the desert world of Zia.  He was also very loyal to his kingdom.  But when King Euendo requests his presence at a conference of businessmen in the capital, Gend is mystified.  What could he possibly contribute to a meeting of the wealthiest and most powerful industrialists in Westland?  Gend encounters hostility from the other businessmen upon his arrival in the capital city.  They themselves see no reason to include a "country hick" in the conference.

The meeting turns out to be a serious talk about traitorous activity that threatens the internal security of the kingdom.  Someone at the conference is collaborating with Westland's enemies.  The meeting is violently disrupted when King Euendo and his only heir are assassinated.  Gend suddenly finds himself more alone than ever, his newfound friendship with his king lost.  The simple maesot rancher is catapulted into the position of leading an opposition group.  They must prevent the as yet unknown traitor from taking the throne and sparking a war that could threaten the existence of every kingdom in the Great Valley.

THE SERENITY OF ZIA

The Great Valley of Serenity – a misnomer – is the largest single inhabited region on the desert planet of Zia.  Stretching from pole to pole, the valley – in reality, a series of river valleys – is occupied by a collection of ancient, squabbling kingdoms.  Boarder skirmishes are near constant and outright war between two or more nations occurs every decade or so.  The last period of unity was during the Zian Empire more than two thousand years before.

With space technology limited to satellites, old, vague stories of life beyond their world are generally discounted.  So, when a number of spacecrafts suddenly appear in orbit, the entire valley edges toward outright panic.  Fearing an alien invasion, each nation separately prepares for war.  Though suspicions still run high, curiosity begins to outweigh fear and the kingdoms agree to form a multi-national team to investigate.  What they discover will forever change Zia and slowly bring about a unity once thought impossible.

     __________

These next novels were to follow the conclusion of The Kreeos Chronicles and serve as historical prequels for the Eagles Timeline, filling in a few of the gaps of both ancient history and pre-historic references that were scattered throughout the preceding two series.  While interrelated by either characters or events, these books were not specifically organized into a named series of their own.

A STAR FANTASY: The Final Campaign

A thousand centuries ago, in the Great Spiral Galaxy, the Dark Lords chose a large and violent people called the Zikarans to be the soldiers of their new Sorcerer Empire.  The massive, gray skinned, reptilian warriors were well trained and well equipped for their task.  These immensely powerful creatures fought all throughout the Cosmic Wars.  The Zikarans took an opportunity to gain their own political power following the overthrow of the Sorcerer Empire and the perceived demise of their Dark Lord masters.

Eleven thousand years later, the mighty Zikaran Empire is now the most powerful force in space.  This tyrannical realm spans half the galaxy and is growing.  One certain military campaign leads to the conquest of the distant planet Octocia.  The Zikaran fleet of Admiral Shados sets off after the last Octocian “star titan”, an immense warship commanded by Admiral Kay.  Through running battles, Shados relentlessly pursues his counterpart.  At a world called Green Sky, the two tired adversaries' final face off will not be against each other, but a reemerging power not seen in over a hundred centuries.

A NEW STAR FANTASY: The Relentless Quest

During the fateful encounter at Green Sky, Zikaran Admiral Shados’ conflict with Admiral Kay of Octocia was interrupted by the emergence of the Old Millennium Travelers.  These Celestial victors of the ancient Cosmic Wars judged Shados' people to be no better than the dark masters they once served.  An unbelievable punishment was then conducted, and the Zikaran admiral departed Green Sky broken hearted.

The Zikaran Empire is now in ruins.  The massive, artificial world of Zikar is only a burned-out hulk.  Admiral Shados is forced to lead his war-ravaged fleet on a quest to find a new home.  The crews of his remaining vessels are the only known Zikaran survivors of the Kreeos induced cataclysm that destroyed Shados' beloved empire.  Their quest will take them to the far reaches of the galaxy in search of a new world to call their own.  The once broken admiral also has another mission in mind – to build a second empire.

FALL OF THE COSMIC LORDS

An eon before humanity even existed, a true “super race” once known only as the Cosmic Lords explored the universe.  They had been the only sentient species within their home galaxy on a far side of Creation.  After learning everything there was to know about their home space, these beings desired to discover what lay in the vast cosmos beyond.  Possessing the most advanced technology ever known, and along with great wisdom through the Kreeos, they traveled space as one unified civilization.

Upon entering the Great Spiral galaxy, the Cosmic Lords encountered the Hast’Bren Rift.  Its Kreeos infused “quantum storms” were unlike anything they had ever known before.  Its discovery would cause this super race to question its deepest beliefs and trigger an irreparable division in its civilization.  Two dominant factions would emerge: the noble Celestials and the reviled Dark Lords, creators of the evil Sorcerer Empire.  During a “Cosmic War” tens of thousands of years ago, the Celestials were driven nearly to extinction.  The final battles of a second Cosmic War would ravage dozens of galaxies and bring the Cosmic Lords to the brink of mutual annihilation.
