EAGLE WORKS FIVE [Informational Sources]

The following is what would have been an informational source book for the Eagles Timeline.  This Contents Page is merely an introduction to The Galactic Compendium intended (at first) to be hardcopy print only.  Begun first on paper in the 1990’s, the early digital version of the Compendium (also the 90’s) was originally laid out as a text-only encyclopedia divided into ten categories.

Content was sourced directly from existing published work, unpublished manuscripts, story drafts and notes, and imaginative concepts to be used in future materials.  This Compendium is currently accessible only to Kreeos Universe associates and is not available online.  This is because the material contained within is not always accurate due to changes in Eagles Timeline content and structure over the decades, changes not always included in Compendium content.

For those people who really like reading information, the following Eagles Timeline material is a quite lengthy historical accounting, mostly within the Great Spiral Galaxy.  Note: the accuracy of this material cannot currently be verified as much has changed and subsequently retconned since its original creation.  Its true usefulness lay in revealing the inner thoughts of the creators of the Eagles Timeline, their original visions, patterns of development, and perhaps some sources which influenced their creation – although this is considered better served by the Galactic Compendium.

(Due to overall length, each “age” is listed on a separate webpage.)

GALACTIC HISTORICAL TIMELINE

THE COSMIC AGE [CA]

This timeline has been compiled to relate major events in galactic history.  As no appreciable local civilizations preceded the Sorcerer Empire, the time periods begin with the first recorded appearance of the Cosmic Lords within the Great Spiral Galaxy.  Information is based upon archeological extrapolation and various data archives, both ancient and modern.

This timeline is divided into two major time periods known as ages - the Cosmic Age (CA) and the Modern Age (MA).  These categories are subdivided into periods referred to as eras.  The length of the Modern Age category due to more available data has necessitated its further division into three units.

The Cosmic Age includes the Pre-Sorcerer, Early Sorcerer, Mid-Sorcerer, Cosmic War, and Post-Sorcerer Eras.  The Modern Age currently includes the Post-Zikaran, Pre-Spherrium, Spherrium, and New Sorcerer Eras.  Some events are listed identically in the Eagles Timeline.

Most dates in the Cosmic Age are approximations with a few having been extrapolated from ancient texts of the Celestials and Zikarans.  Early dates in the Modern Age are considered reasonably accurate.  The Pre-Spherrium Era is where the most accurate dates begin.

THE COSMIC AGE (CA): 001-261454

PRE-SORCERER ERA: 01-99

01 CA

- Cosmic Lords first enter the Great Spiral Galaxy aboard Cosmic Way a 1,000-kilometer diameter, self-propelled moon; soon encounter mysterious power they call the "universal stream"

02-50?

- lengthy investigation reveals universal stream to be unique "trickle down" energy from previously recorded dimensional plane (record of the specific dimension has been lost)

51-80?

- proper use of universal stream debated; disagreements cause social rifts to form for the first time; verbal conflicts ensue

81-90?

- seven different social segments undergo consolidation - two primary factions emerge; Dark Lords (five segments) use powers for domination of primitive sentient species; Celestials (two segments) promote peace and benevolent use

91-99

- Dark Lords succeed in using their shadow magic to keep the barrier unbroken against a second attack; both sides weakened further; more centuries required between assaults to recuperate

- Final assault undertaken by all remaining Celestials; their bright magic Kreeos powers assail Eternity's defenses as Dark Lords resist with all of their own Kreeos might; The release of such colossal Kreeos energy causes a series of unexpected events; the remaining few dozen Dark Lords lose their physical forms and become trapped behind the gravimetric barrier; most Celestials, fewer in number as well, also lose their corporal form; many are displaced to another universal dimension; the few who remain seek seclusion to try and recover their bodies and exhausted powers
